Well, I guess I need to understand the trap concept better. I think of
traps as merely coiled-up sections of aluminum tube which allow for shorter
elements. I think of the multiple usage of elements on different bands as
similar to a single feed, multiple dipole wire antenna where resonance
occurs on the wire that it can occur on and the others are "ignored" (if
you will) by the RF.
Can someone please explain why anything other than the tubing needs to be
extended to cause resonance on 17 & 12?
