Hello Everyone:
I have a question. I've owned a Scout for about
3 1/2 years, but never (until now) operated CW
with it since it's always been a mobile rig.
While my OMNI VI is in the shop being upgraded
I've moved the Scout from the truck into the house.
I've made several CW contacts by calling CQ, but
have never answered someone else's CQ.
How do you zero beat the thing? I can't find any
information in the manual, so I'm assuming you
just tune the received signal until the note sounds
the same as the Scout's sidetone note.
Correct or not?
