I did QRP, 24 hours overall, for 350 Q's, about 78 band/zones, 180
band/countries.
I did pretty much continuous s&p during my time in the contest. I used
everything from wide open to narrowed down with 250Hz or NR-N-1. Usually,
though, when tuning around, I would run wide open or at 1.8kHz. I would
narrow it down if I needed it to hear someone and reduce adjacent frequency
QRM.
Typically, in any contest, I run as wide open as I can to be able to catch
whatever is going on on adjacent freqs--I have picked up some good mults
that way...
