I have the upgrade and added the 250hz filter. It is a little more
lossy than the 500 (by anout 8 db) - The best use I have for it is
using it in combo with the 1.8khz filter and sometimes the 500hz
filter. Excellent to cut through the grub in contests, where the sigs
are strong and close, so the extra loss is actually a plus.
So for pulling out the really weak sigs, I can't say it helps any.
