Hi Everyone,

To those of you on the reflector who are fellow Corsair II fans I have
two questions about possible modifications from the past.

1.Has anyone successfully eliminated the "hang" time constant from the
slow agc position. If so, could you share with me the values of
replacement components that you substituted in the agc circuit.
The slow, hang agc is a real bother to me yet I like to use it for
ssb. I'd like to try to mod it to get the slow response more traditional
in its performnance.

2. I have heard a distant rumor that the PTO of the Corsair II can be
made more stable with a modification that was available as a kit from an
after-market supplier some years back (?). Has anyone successfully
stablized a Corsair II PTO with a mod or after-market kit?

Neither of these warts are fatal flaws in my book. Just trying to fine
tune my Corsair II. I love my Omni VI but the Corsair II is a close
second. Great rig. Elegant simplicity. Great weak signal Rx.

Thanks for any information that may be available.

P.S. My OMNI VI is going in soon for Option #3 upgrade and I'll report
on results when it is done and returned. Based on all I'm hearing it
will be worth the wait.
