Re- the comments about the keying not being a problem. Okay - I'll buy
that. It is a matter of preference as long as no clicks are generated.
Here in Anchorage, I live within spitting distance of a whole bunch of
cw operators, and a couple of contest stations. To keep peace in the
family, we all try to keep the garbage down to a minimum. That means
most of us use Ten Tec gear, as the phase noise from the current crop
of JA rigs is not acceptable.
And - hard keying really isn't accepted either, as it does spread out the
required guard area between guys, whether it be from clicks or hard rx agc
action, or what.
So - even tho the keying is good and sharp, if it offends the others here,
we're going to try to soften it. (Some of these guys are BIG!)
