Hello all Ten-Tec reflector readers:
We are now calling for option 2 "upgradees" to send in their Omni-VI's
for the upgrade. Option 2 is the $125.00 version, that entails replacement
of the DSP and LOGIC chips and re-arrangement of the front panel.
This is not the "full" option 3 upgrade. If you're waiting for option 3,
we are still on schedule to start them in June. We have attempted to
contact all persons who have requested option 2; if you have not heard
from us please contact us immediately. We want to have your VI here by
Friday, May 9 to begin the upgrades on Monday, May 12. We expect to
have your radio here for five days, and will return ship by UPS surface.
If you are requesting repair service at the same time, your rig will have
the upgrade done and then be placed in the normal service queue to be
looked at. We are running approx. 10 days turnaround (not including
shipping time) on service work at present.
Again, for option 3, thanks for your patience and you'll be hearing
more from us in the near future.
