Allen -
I can't answer your Paragon-specific questions, but do have some hints
about using your Corsair on CW, which some others may be interested in
hearing. I have found with my Corsair II that I can reduce or eliminate
any extraneous noise on the CW sidetone by doing two things. (1) reduce
the amount of RF gain so that it is not cranked up any more than is
necessary; this setting changes with the amount of background noise.
(2) keep the drive level control set for the minimum amount to light the
ALC LED, which should give you just 100 W output. Also, the noise should
be less if you use the AGC in its "slow" position.
I apologize if these suggestions, which are based on my experience with
the Corsair II, don't make any sense with the Corsair I.
