Any chance to get the command set changed so we can use N6TR's trick
software with our OMNI VIs? (Please read below.) Please let me know.

There is about exactly zero chance of getting it in the Icom radios.
There is maybe a slightly better chance of getting it in the Ten-Tec
radios, but only after they add new commands to their firmware to allow
this type of function.
The reason I say there is some chance with the Ten-Tec, is that if
enough of you Omni owners complain to Ten-Tec about this feature,
they might actually respond.
They need to add commands that will bump the RIT up or down 10 or 20 hz
per command. Their scheme of reading the offset, adding or subtracting
a incremental amount, and then writing the new frequency simply takes
too long over the port. The Kenwood radio does this with a 3 byte
command RD; or RU; (RD - down, RU - up).
I think TenTec should support the kenwood command set (in addtion to the
existing one). But, I am not the engineering manager there.
I doubt Icom would ever respond.
