I am trying (remotely by e-mail) to develop the necessary code necessary to
interface to a Paragon 585. I am having little success.
What is the correct command sequence to read the freq/mode settings of the
radio? First I tried issuing a command sequence of SPOT ENTER (?@) which
momentarily switched VFOs in the radio. Then I tried STATUS ENTER (\@)
This looked more promising, as the radio actually returns a string of
information. However, the information returned does not appear to convey
any meaningful information - for example:
freq filter returned string offset

2.4 3333Dh33 303D RX + 03.0kHz
2.4 33333Bh333 303 TX +03.0kHz
All this looks encouraging, but doesn't mean anything.
Does anyone know the correct command sequences to a) read the radio
frequency and mode, and b) put the radio on a freq/mode?
Please reply directly,
Thanks,
Bob.
