1) Model 238 antenna tuner, excellent condition with box, manual, and
extra wafer to replace the (still working but ) scorched wafer that got
that way when the previous owner threw the switch with too much power
applied to the unit.
Lighted meter and scale. Roller inductor. 2 kW (plus, IMO) capacity.
Tunes a 10:1 mismatch easily. 4 antennas selectable, including random
wire or twin-lead fed by a built-in balun.
Nearly $400 new, asking $280 plus shipping.
2) Model 291 antenna tuner. Excellent cond except for bent flange on the
back of the unit. Black painted steel, nice and sturdy and heavy.
50-position (if I remember right) inductor plus two air variable caps.
No meter, no balun, just a rugged tuner that's perfect for portable
operation with rigs that meter fwd/ref power (like the Scout).
$89 new, asking $60 plus shipping.
