Do you mean "function keys" on the radio, or computer keyboard F-type
"function keys"?

If the latter, being able to automatic TXRX power output drive to, let's
say, a 1KW auto-tune, auto-bandchange/RF sensing amp via F-key integration
with the logging software program would be the ultimate "Cat's Meow" for
many contesters who do not have the real estate or lack of restrictions for
a full compliment of legal limit monoband antennas for SO2R (or contesting
in general).

Example:

160m = HF6-V (limited to 500w on 160m)
80/40m = Dipole or Inverted Vee (can handle 1KW)
20/15/10m = Small Tribander (can handle 1KW)
20/15/10m = 2nd Radio antenna like a Sigma 5 Vertical Dipole (limited to
700w on CW)

So instead of having to remember to manually increase or reduce the TXRX
drive to the amp depending upon which mix of bands & antennas are being
used, it would be totally automatic.

Tnx & 73...
