That is an interesting idea Ed, to run under Win98 and use a ByteRunner
USB=> 4 port Serial. I think I will give them a call and see what they say
about DOS drivers. I don't know the RocketPort company so I would check them
second.
Since I have a 'retired' copy of Win98, I should not even need to invest the
$100 for that license. My out of pocket would simply be the USB to Serial
adapter.
I wonder if anyone has already done this?

Tod, I think you're on the right track. If I had to make the choice, I
would purchase an
OEM of Win98SE ( way under $100 now ) And I would stay away from ME
like the PLAGUE!
Now, I may be wrong here, but I have a 4 port Rocketport usb and a 4
port Byterunner USB
and I'm pretty sure one of them has DOS drivers, which make them
available from pure DOS.
Even if they don't, running TR under the DOS window should work fine.
