Agree. Same principle as trying to "sailor proof" equipment so that the
likelihood of messing up when you're tired, stressed, or worse is minimized.
Re age: It depends.
Chronologically, I'm 58.
However, having spent 11 dog years in the Pentagon, my real age is 124.
