Last minute appeal, 30 minutes before the contest...
I've been trying to get TR-Log working on RTTY for the
first time, after reading VE3IAY's posts on the subhject.
I am able to receive, but I cannot get the function keys to transmit
or to send any of the buffers. The TNC is an old PK-232.
The ONLY way I am able to transmit at all is to do the following:
... [radio in RX]
press F10
Control-C
X ...[radio/TNC goes into XMIT]
<send whatever I want here, goes out as RTTY text>
Control-C
R ...[radio goes back to RX]
Adding ^CX and ^CR as my RTTY SEND STRING and RTTY RECEIVE STRING
seemed to make no difference. Adding these characters to F-key
memories made no difference. I am talking to the TNC and can
print text fine.
Any ideas why the F-keys won't work? What am I doing wrong here?
Again, the TNC is a PK-232
Thanks for any assistance.
