While one could certainly try to set up a group on Yahoo, and probably make
it work eventually (within limits) I don't see why that is in any way
desirable. The best we can hope for is something we already have: a site
owned and maintained and administered by active hams like W4AN, KM3T, K5ZD
and on and on. Let's keep it going. Let's keep it "ham".
And contrary to some comments I've read, I don't see any "dilution" of my
ham funds by having to support CQ and ARRL and now, some Internet
entity(ies). These reflectors and web sites offer so much more than the
magazines; have done so much more to expose like-minded amateurs to each
others' help/views; have provided countless instant answers (right or wrong)
to countless questions, that it's worth some additional dough.
