Hi Geo
Tom, N2CU, beat me to the punch but some added notes. ALT-H brings
up the list of commands and functions. Hitting, for example, ALT-F then will
display the help file for that command.
If you do a "control J" and go to the "floppy file save name" line you can
add something like "a:wwph01.bak" to dump the current log to the (A)
floppy drive. You also can add this line to your logcfg.dat file by your text
editor.
As you build the logcfg.dat file for your operating style it gets better and
better. There are several ways to maintain TRLog. The method I use is
to keep TRLog and all its files in the directory LOG and use sub-directories
from "CONTESTS" where each contest has it's own directory. Because of
this I use the STDCFG.DAT file in LOG to setup all the standard stuff like
screen colors, etc. Then I use the command "input config file = C;\log\cw.cfg"
to bring in a common string of commands that would be used for that style of
contests, then finally I use the LOGCFG.dat file in the current directory to
hold
anything extra or special for that contest, such as CW messages.
All well explained in the manual.
Feel free to keep asking questions. I had the opportunity to show off
TRLog this Monday to the local ham club. I love it when someone asks
"well, can it do this?" big grin....
