Hi Denny -
Maybe you shouldn't have given up on Ten-Tec so easily :-)
I've been using an Omni VI for a few years now with TRLog and it works FB in
terms of reading and changing frequency, etc. I don't have the "full" control
over the rig like I get with my TS-850, but then I find that I like to turn
knobs rather than use SHIFT keys, anyway. I even run a "Y" connector off the
Omni's serial output to a box that switches my ICE band pass filter box
automatically.
Perhaps Ten-Tec have implemented ICOM's codes better than they have, but the
only glitches that I have seen are definitely RF-induced when I try to run the
amp full bore with a Windom on 40 -- lots of RF floating around the shack.
