I have a few questions about a multi if someone can answer them...
I setup two systems. Whenever I make a QSO on system A, the data does not go
to B until it rolls off the screen (SEND QSO IMMEDIATELY = FALSE). That is
fine, but after the QSO rolls off the screen it goes on the screen of
computer B.
When B makes a contact, the QSO never updates the log screen on A, but the
exchange information is in the log. This is actually what I like, but the
settings files are the same.
So, to put this in the form of a question...
What log settings do I use so any qsos I get from the network, are not
displayed on my computer, but I get them for exchange purposes?
Next question... How can I prevent the rate from the other systems from
effecting the rate on my display? The rate display is not accurate in a
multi-setup because it goes by the other stations.
Next question... Is there an interlock mechanism so the systems will keep
track of what computers are on what bands, and at least let you know that
"Warning - Station D is on 80SSB as well"? It will let you do it, but at
least it will warn you about it.
Observation...The band changes counter tends to increase if QSOs are sent
immediately across the network. I think the local system sees a contact from
another band, and counts that as a band change.
Oh yes, the reason I want to have the exchange but not the qso displayed on
the others, is that I think it will be confusing for the Field Day ops to
have QSOs show up even though they are marked with the a different computer
identifier.
Thanks,
