I received several answers, then found what I was looking for in the
manual. (Sorry I didn't find it first.)
Anyway, you can use QUESTION MARK CHAR, available in Ctrl-J, and make any
keyboard key the question mark. This eliminates the necessity of using the
shift key, plus the question mark key. This does what I wanted.
