I'll probably be the first of many to point this out, but:
1. Turn the band map on.
2. Type in the first part of a call and possibles will show up a couple of
lines under the call-sign window. Dupes will be the color red.
3. If one of the calls is the one on the air:
The , (comma) key will move the <call> cursor(?) to the left. The .
(period key)
moves it to the right. When the call you want is bracketed by the < >
cursor press
the ; (semicolon) key to put the call in the call window. [Takes a LOT
longer to
read than to do!]
4. Press the space bar. This puts the call on the band map. Leave the cursor
in the
call window and tune away. When you get further than the width of the
band map
width (programmable) the call window will clear. Next time you tune
across that
freq the call will appear in the call window.
If there is a better way to do this (or I've missed something) I'd love to
hear about it, but the above works for me and is very fast.
If you study the manual, you will be AMAZED at how powerful TR is!
