It may be a little late (depends on what time Radio Shack opens), but I found
a solution by building the components into a full metal DB25 hood (from Radio
Shack) and using good cable with shielding. My cable is RG223 50 ohm coax
with a double braid shield. Cable is more than 6 feet long and has a ferrite
(FB77 from Amidon) on each end. Even with a separate cable for paddle input
to the parallel port it's not bothered by 1500 watts.
