There was still one nagging question - I must have used the Alt-D
function 3000 times at W5WMU and didn't have a single failure.
I now have the answer.
When I go to Pat's, I take along a copy of the source code in case I get
inspired to add some new features (this is how the SS simulator got done).
Well, the computer I used was the same as last year, and I didn't have
to put the compiler on it - or the little file that does the setup.
I just confirmmed that the file I used to install the compile on the
machine has the far calls enabled - thus, the program was compiled
correctly at W5WMU... and therefore, I didn't personally experience
the bug.
I do remember now having a crash or two during the last CW sprint...
This is all starting to fit together.
I feel very badly that this wasn't found before the SS and y'all had
so much trouble...
