This lockup with the SHIFT-Ctrl key tuning appears to only happen
if the CW BUFFER isn't initialized. This occurs if you start the
program and don't send any CW (saving you 3K bytes of RAM).
It appears that not having this buffer allocated in memory enables
this lockup to occur. So, for now, the work around is to send some
CW with the program when you first run it, and everything should be
fine.
