Hmm. Something odd here. I’ve been using 2.48 since it came out and no
problems. Of course my set up is way different from yours. 2xK3, home built
controller driving the KPA1500 via a MK2R. Single amp SO2R with auto band
switching. Flawless. And I use DXLog.net not Writelog. So lots of variables.

But, you got it going. That’s what counts. See ya on the bands!

well after many hours of trying to sort out the problem with my
FT5000+KPA1500 not switching bands with Writelog, it turned out the
current firmware update (2.48) that Elecraft has listed for the KPA1500
amp on it's web site was defective. After their support admitted that it
didn't work and a beta was there (2.53) I got it down loaded and
everything back to normal. So anyone with the KPA1500 amp... BEWARE...
the 2.48 update will mess you up. I literally spent hours on this since
Saturday when in the RU contest using Writelog this problem surfaced.
But I am happy to be back to normal. I even bought the latest Writelog
12.55 thinking issue might be there... $30 I didn't need to spend! I
hate software arguments! HNY 73's Cort K4WI
