This Week's Contests:

1.  NCCC RTTY Sprint Practice.  0145-0215Z Friday (Thursday night 
local).  15, 20, 40, 80, 160M RTTY.  100W maximum power.  1/1 khZ QSY 
rule.  Exchange:  both calls, #, name, SPC.  Look around 080 kHz on each 
band plus 1805 kHz up.  Same band dupes OK after one intervening QSO.

2.  NCCC NS Sprint Ladder.   0230-0259Z Friday (Thursday night local). 
20, 40, 80, 160M CW.  100W maximum powr.  1/1 kHz QSY rule.  Exchange: 
both calls, #, name, SPC.  Look around 040 kHz on each band plus up from 
1815 kHz.  No same band dupes permitted.  Ladder series resumes tonight.

3.  QRP Fox Hunt.  Thursday night local, Friday UTC time 0200-0330Z. 
80M CW. Two QRP Foxes (WA4ILO, JIM, GA and N8SS, EARL, MI) will be 
betweeen 3550 and 3570 kHz.  Maxium power 5W.  Work only the two foxes. 
  Exchange:  RST, SPC, Name, Power.

4.  Straight Key Century Club Weekend Sprintathon.  1200Z Sat to 2400Z 
Sun.  Maximum time:  24 hours.  Use a mechanical key.  160-6M CW. 
Exchange:  RST, SPC, Name, SKCC# or "NONE."  Look around 050 kHz on the 
major contest bands.  Bonus points for using a hand key you home made 
for this contest and for working such stations who will identify by 
sending "name/hk."  Also 100 bonus points for spelling out "INNER 
MACGYVER" with callsigns you work.

5.  NCJ North American QSO Party, CW.  1800Z Sat to 0200Z Sun.  That's 1 
PM to 1 AM EST.  10 hours maximum.  Be sure to take off at least 30 
minutes. So, if you make your last QSO before a break at 2300Z, don't 
make the next QSO until 2331Z.  If you make it at 2330Z, you will have 
taken off only 29 minutes.  160-10M CW.  100W maximum power.  Mults 
(S/P/NA countries) count once per band.  There are team competitions. 
N4PN will register teams for GCG.  WA1FCN will register teams for ACG. 
I will register SECC teams.  So far, for SECC, we have K4BAI, W4AU, 
K7SV, AD8J, AA4CF, N4TB, N4XFA, W2GDJ, KU8E, N4XL, K2SX, NM2L, AA4LR, 
N3ZL.  I will register the teams late Friday or early Saturday.  You do 
not need to be a member of a club or live within a geographical area to 
be on a team. So, please let me know ASAP if anyone else is interested 
in being on a SECC team for this fun event.

6.  North American QRP CW Club 160M Sprint.  160M CW only  5W max power. 
  0130-0330Z Wed of next week (Tuesday night local date).  Exchange: 
RST, SPC, NAQCC# or power.  Multiply score by 2 for use of hand key and 
by 1 1/2 for use of a bug.

7.  QRP Fox Hunt 40M.  Tuesday of next week.  Same rules as for Thursday 
night fox hunt above except the frequency range in 7030 to 7050 kHz and 
the foxes are N1IX, DAVE, NH and N8SS, EARL, MI.

8. Phone Fray. Every Tuesday night local.  Wed. 0230-0259Z.  15, 20, 40, 
80, 160M SSB.  100W maximum power.  Exchange:  Name + SPC.  This should 
be excellent time to practice for the North American QSO Party SSB.  I 
will register teams for NAQP SSB for SECC, so please let me know if you 
want to be on a SECC team for NAQP SSB.

9.  CWOps Club CWT Mini Tests.  Every Wednesday local date.  Three 
separate one-hour mini tests.  1300Z, 1900Z, 0300Z (Thursday UTC date). 
  160-10M CW.  Exchange: Name + CWOps # or SPC.
