Howdy Everyone,
It's looking like 2015 is going to be the year of bringing my shack
into the 21st century. I've been running Windows XP in the shack for the
last 8 years and I'd like to upgrade. First and foremost - what Windows
operating system is everyone using these days? I've always stuck with XP
because I've felt every program designed for amateur radio use would run on
it, but these days with the lack of support from Windows, it's time to get
within this decade.

I'm probably looking at a new dedicated shack machine - is there
anything I ought to be looking special for in a new computer for the shack?
This would be a machine dedicated for amateur radio only, and used for
daily logging, SO2R control, rig control and DX cluster monitoring.

I'm interested in hearing any suggestions or knowing if anyone has
anything excess to their needs.
