See message below about the SECC sponsored plaque for NAQP. I have sent
Brian my check for $70.00. The first six club members who want to help
with this expense and will send me an e-mail will participate in this
expense by sending me a check for $10.00. John Laney, PO Box 421,
Columbus, GA 31902-0421. I will cover any deficiency. Don't send your
checks until I have posted a list of the first six who respond to avoid
my having to return any checks. Thanks for your help with this. 73,
John, K4BAI.

Hi all,
I was just catching up my spreadsheet and realized I don?t have a record
of donations for this year, and couldn?t find an email to all of you in
my sent folder. So that means I must have overlooked my donation
reminder this year.
I have your names and emails in my spreadsheet as the contact people for
your respective clubs. If someone else has taken over, please send me a
name and email.
Here is the current lineup:
Mode Category Sponsor
CW Single Op, North America Florida Contest Group
CW Multi-Op, North America Minnesota Wireless Assn.
SSB Single Op, North America South East Contest Club
SSB Multi-Op, North America Tennessee Contest Group
Combined CW/SSB Single Op, North America Southern California Contest Club
If your club will continue as a sponsor, please send a check for $70,
payable to Brian Maves. My address is 1322 Engle Creek Dr., OFallon, IL
62269. If your club does not plan to continue to sponsor a plaque,
please let me know.
I would also ask that you start working with your clubs on sponsorships
for 2015. Unfortunately, rising postage and a price change at my plaque
supplier requires raising the sponsorship cost to $90 a year starting in
2015. Since 2008 average postage has gone from $63/yr to $93/yr, and
this year the price of plaques went from $28/plaque to $36/plaque. So
round numbers it now costs $445 a year to run the plaque program. I?ve
been able to cover cost to this point with a little surplus I built up
the first couple of years, but it?s been eaten up. If the price change
is going to be an obstacle for your club?s continued support let me know
right away so I can discuss it with Kirk, K4RO, and see if there are
ways to ease the burden.
As always, thanks for your continued support
Thanks, Brian
