(For those not yet initiated into Thursday night CW fun, "you know who"
is NO3M.)
Another great ladder is winding down this week with Wk 8 on Thursday
night. Usual rules repeated below.
Close ones to watch:
KW8N and W9RE in the E. Central Div: For 1st, KW8N is ~500 points
lower in the highest 5 wks, but Mike has an ~200 pt lower score to drop
. so quite close.
N4AF and W4OC in the Atlantic Div for 2nd place: very, very close
because Howie has a lower score to drop . Maybe 100 pt difference. You
know who is of course in first.
In the NCCC Div, K6VVA should capture the coveted 2nd place behind N6RO,
but N6ZFO has a slim chance, with a 216 point lower score to drop.. Bill
would need to beat the Locust by about 300 points. Unlikely but
possible. . better chance if an insect swarm invades K6VVA's house, or
high winds suddenly appear at his neighbor's, disrupting the microwave
link. I could try to arrange one of these events, but might not be
worth the risk of membership in the Contesting Hall of Shame.
So let's have a good showing for the last night. It's been a great
eight weeks. Thanks so much to all have participated and even to those
who couldn't make it.
