Not long ago I went into West Marine and bought an "HT" new for $89. It has
VHF Marine of course, plus AM aircraft band, NOAA WX channels, and can be
reprogrammed to 2M ham VHF. Also FM broadcast. This stuff is getting
mighty cheap!
