Interesting conditions on 10 meters. Band never really opened to Europe on
Saturday. Had pretty good conditions to W6/W7 during the afternoon when I
made
most of my stateside OSO's. On Sunday there was about a 1 1/2 hour opening
to
EU around 11:00 AM local time but no opening all day to anywhere in the US
except on back scatter. For most of the contest it was the South America QSO
Party.
Contesting is really taking off in South America. 73 PY's and 46 LU's in my
log. Nice to see all the activity from down there. It would have been pretty
boring without those stations being on. Also a lot of activity from VK/ZL.
I was probably crazy to do 10 meter signal band and miss out on some good
rate
with a good prefix but if was fun to try something different.
