If you ever listen to WSB (750) in the morning you hear Jamie quite a bit.

Subject: Announcement: FCG Contest Dinner and Suite at Orlando
John,
We're doing a contest dinner and hospitality suite at the Orlando
HamCation again this year. Would you please forward to the ACG and SECC
reflectors in case you have some members who might like to attend?
Announcement text below.

Chris WF3C
Dear Fellow Contesters,
It gives me great pleasure to announce the 2011 Florida Contest Group
Orlando Contest Dinner and SuperSuite! Mark your calendars for Friday,
February 11 and come to the Orlando HamCation, the Dayton of the
Southeast, and make time after the hamfest closes on Friday night to
come just five miles up the road for the 2011 FCG Contest Dinner and
SuperSuite! Tickets for the Contest Dinner are only $20 and must be
reserved in advance. Only 100 tickets are available so reserve early!
2009 YASME Excellence Award Winner Jamie Dupree, NS3T, has generously
agreed to be our guest speaker for the 2011 Orlando Contest Dinner.
Jamie will speak both about radio-sport.net <http://radio-sport.net> and
about his day job as a Capitol Hill correspondent for Cox Radio. Doors
open at 6:00pm for the Contest Dinner, and dinner is served at 6:30pm.
Your dinner ticket also serves as your raffle ticket for one of our
fabulous prizes! Winning tickets will be drawn by our MC, K1TO,
throughout the night. You must be present to win. Thanks to the
generosity of our sponsors, domestic beer will be FREE during the 2011
Orlando Contest Dinner and SuperSuite!
Following the Contest Dinner and NS3T's address, we will begin the 2011
FCG SuperSuite! Come hoist a beverage of your choice and socialize with
fellow contesters, and take on all comers in the CW and SSB pileup
competition (with great prizes for the overall winners on each mode as
well as the high score for a contester < 30 years of age and the high
score for a contester licensed < 10 years)! Can't make it to the contest
dinner? Come for the SuperSuite when the doors open to everyone at 8:00pm!
To order your ticket(s), please mail your cash, check, or money order to
FCG Treasurer K4LQ at
Fred Perkins K4LQ
Treasurer - Florida Contest Group
3437 Lake Josephine Drive
Lake Placid, FL 33852
When he receives your ticket order, Fred will confirm receipt of your
funds via email. Please include your callsign in the memo line of your
check to simplify our bookkeeping. If paying by cash, please include a
note with your name and callsign so we can reserve your place.
We must have a firm number of attendees for the caterer by February 4,
so please allow sufficient time for your check to reach K4LQ's mailbox
by then. From most parts of the country, mail postmarked January 31 or
prior should be sufficient. If you cannot make it by 6:30 or are not one
of the lucky 100 to receive tickets, please consider coming at 8:00 for
the SuperSuite, when doors open to everyone.

vy 73, and I look forward to seeing you at the 2011 FCG Orlando Contest
Dinner and SuperSuite!
