Rick,

Having attended Contest U at Dayton this year, K3LR solicited feedback on
ways he could improve it for 2008. My suggestion to Tim was to put on a
forum on contest software like N1MM which was voted at Dayton as the most
popular contest software on the market. I would think that a forum on
Writelog or N1MM would be well attended. We have one WL expert that I know
of among our ranks here in the SECC. Running the program is relatively
simple, but "knowing" the program and its full depth is another. Some of
these tricks are real time savers and point makers.

RTTY contesting is becoming increasingly popular but the RTTY class at
Contest U was rather elementary. KI5XP (Charlie) is probably "the" or one
of the premier RTTY single op contesters in North America right now,
operating from W5WMU's station. Charlie is a great friend of mine and I'm
confident that I can get Charlie to conduct a presentation at Huntsville
should the group decide that's what they want.

73'......Fred WW4LL
