K4DLI expressed the hope that at least 3 SECC members would submit
scores for the club competition. W4UK is usually active in RTTY
contests. Perhaps he or another member hasn't reported a score yet, but
will submit one for SECC. ACG had at least three.

5. QRPARCI Summer Home Brew Sprint

K4BAI 66 37 71,484 SOAB5W QRP 4.0 GA

This week brings the following contests:

1. Straight Key Century Club July Sprint. Tuesday local. UTC Wec
00-02Z. 160-20M CW. Exchange: Name + SPC + SKCC# or power. Be sure
to use a manual key.

2. 20M QRP Fox Hunt. 0100-0230Z Friday, Thursday night local. Two
Foxes will be between 14050 and 14070 listening for QRP stations. They
will probably work split for the first part of the period. Last night I
was a Fox and received a very gratifying QSL from AE5BH who reported I
was his first FOX QSO and the first QSO he ever made operating split!
Exchange: RST, SPC, Name, power.

3. NCCC Ladder 7/13. Thursday night local. 0230-0259Z Friday.
160-20M CW low power (100 w max). Exchange: Both callsigns, QSO #,
Name, SPC. One khz. QSY rule. Dupes OK after band change or one
intervening QSO.

4. FISTS Summer Sprint. Note unusual time (adopted to avoid conflict
with IARU). 00-04Z Sat (Friday night local). 100 watt power limit.
80-10M CW. Exchange: RST, SPC, Name, FISTS # or power. Summary sheet
available from website.

5. IARU HF World Championship. 12Z Sat to 12Z Sun. 160-10M CW/Phone.
Exchange: RST + ITU Zone # or Country HQ Abbreviation for HQ stations.

6. Colorado QSO Party. 12Z Sun to 04Z Mon. 160-10M + VHF/UHF.
CW/Ph/Digital. Exchange: RS(T) + CO county or SPC. Website has
suggestions for logging programs and a reference to downloadable county
list, log sheet, and summary sheet. This is a new state QSO Party and
the sponsors appear to have it well organized. K4XU/M will be QRV in
many counties.

7. Flying Pigs QRP Club July Run for the Bacon. 01-03Z Mon (Sun night
local). 160-10M CW. 5W QRP max. Exchange: RST + SPC + FP member # or
power.

Hope everyone has a nice week and weekend and a lot of QSOs. The IARU
is one of the "biggies." I'm sure you remember that the WRTC events
have been run as a part of this contest in 1996, 2000, 2002, and 2006.

Let's be active on the air! 73, John, K4BAI.
