(Also, there is a NAQCC QRP club 2 hour sprint tonight, Wednesday local,
UTC 0030-0230, double your score by using a hand key.)

It's on to Wk 10 of NS Ladder this Thursday. No doubt a light week because
many NSr's will be in Dayton . .but . . a great week to get into NS Ladder if
you havn't participated yet. 0230-0300Z Friday on 20, 40, 80 and 160 cw; see
www.ncccsprint.com for details, and remember, there's now a Newcomers Division
for stations new to NS Ladder in 2007, with the winner having the highest
cumulative score from Wk 9 to the end.

Let's continue to spread out in frequency, and as always please report scores,
no matter how meager, on the 3830 score report page, at
http://www.hornucopia.com/3830score/ . As always, we thank Bruce and Dink for
providing this important service.

And above all, remember to just enjoy this exciting half hour of contesting.

SNS -- show up half an hour early for a slower NS Ladder practice, organized by
Mike, W9RE around 14040 and 7040.

And remember to read the entertaining and informative NS Ladder blog of KA3DRR
at http://ka3drr.blogspot.com/ and the so-far quiescent n6zfo "ultimate
radiosport" blog at http://nsladder.blogspot.com .

NS Ladder Wk 8, May 11 was a huge success:

-- Mike, W9RE established a new high score of 2574, displacing Howie N4AF the
former all-time high score champion at 2400 pts. The K6VVA NS Ladder X-prize
remains unclaimed (3000 pts). Mike's score was a 66X39 Mult accomplishment, vs
60x40 for Howie's previous record. In the W. of Ms. River division, W0BH
continued his perfect appearance record and a new high score of 1551 to remain
division leader. And in the NCCC division,

-- John, K4BAI, zoomed out a quiet year with a stunning 2233 pts (57x39), more
than doubling his previous NSL IV high score of 1036.

-- Many participants set new personal records, notably Paul K3STX, who passed
the magic 1000 point mark for the first time. In all but one NSL IV week Paul
has increased his score over the previous outing, showing the value of the
events for upping one's skill level. Other high scores, K7SS, N5DX and others.

73 Bill N6ZFO/6
