Folks,
I have been watched the notes on line sitting, and conclude that there is not a
consensus for adoption.
I would add my input now as a Rover and note that line sitting would not help
me in any way. Actually, the rovers who make longer runs have to keep moving,
to meet the time schedule. When I did a run in the ALQP a couple years ago, we
just kept driving on a schedule, and didn't stop except for fuel and pit stops.
Last year, my time was limited, but I did not need to sit a line, just move on
to a new county, change the logger entry, and keep going.
In passing I do also note that if we did change the rule, it would only "allow"
the action, not "make" anyone to actually do it.
Thanks to Jim for the topic, Ed for the county hunters rule reference, all for
the input.
Let's leave things as they are.
AND,
Y'all get those taxes done, and make time for GQP on the 14th and 15th of
APRIL...
I will be running Rover Single, Low Power, and will pick a route a bit closer
to the event.
I do echo Jeff's call for more of our SECC and SEDXC members to put in time in
GQP, Please join in.
That's it for now,
Thanks, 73,
Mike, NE4S
Please use ne4s at iham.us or mike1230 at mcnet.us as my address.
Be well,
Thanks
