I remember when Phil (then K9ELT) and Fred W9SZR (now K3ZO) contested from
the Univ. of Wisconsin in the late 1950's.   Phil and Dick N6AA would always
stop by at the Electronic Switch booth at Dayton in the mid 1990's to see me
and Phil always sent in a log for the CQ 160 Contests no matter how small
(his words HI).

Contesting lost one of the nice guys!
