The UBA has the honour to announce that this contest will be challenged under 
the Patronage of the EC Commission, responsible for Communication, Information 
and Culture. 
The 19th EUROPEAN UNION TROPHY will be awarded to the highest scoring EC member 
station from both the CW and SSB Single Operator competition.

1. Purpose

To contact as many Belgian and other amateurs as possible and to provide a way 
to achieve the WABP and the EC Awards in the "UBA Contest".

2. Periods

SSB January 28 - January 29, 2006 (starting the last Saturday of January). 
CW February 25 - February 26, 2006 (starting the last Saturday of February). 
       
13:00 UTC Saturday to 13:00 UTC Sunday.

3. Classes

  a.. A. Single Operator Single Band Low Power <100 W and High Power >100 W 
(A10, A15, A20, A40, A80). 
  b.. C.Single Operator Multi Band Low Power <100 W and High Power >100 W (5 
bands). 
  c.. D. Multi Operator Single Transmitter (5 bands). 
  d.. E. QRP max. 10 Wout on SSB and max. 5 Wout on CW, as class C. 
  e.. F. SWL, as class C (Rules under item 11). 

  REMARKS: 
  Stations in category D are limited by the "10 minute" rule. A station must 
stay at least 10 minutes on a band before changing bands. Starting time will be 
determined by the first QSO made on that particular band.
  Cat B doesn't exist for harmonisation reasons

4. Bands

Bands to be used: 80, 40, 20, 15 and 10 meters. The IARU band plan as well as 
the frequencies proposed by the HF Contest committee must be adhered to. At 
this time, the preferential frequencies are: 
CW: 3.510 - 3.560; 7.000 - 7.035; 14.000 - 14.060; 21.000 - 21.080 & 28.000 - 
28.070 MHz. 
SSB: 3.600 - 3.650; 3.700 - 3.775; 7.040 - 7.100; 14.125 - 14.300; 21.175 - 
21.350 & 28.400 - 28.700 MHz. 
The band segments 3.500 - 3.510 and 3.775 - 3.800 shall not be used unless for 
DX contacts (this means no one shall call "CQ Contest" in those segments).

5. Contest Call and exchange

CW "TEST UBA"; 
SSB "CQ UBA". 
Exchange: RS(T) + serial number starting from 001 for each log
Note that Belgian stations give their province abbreviation which is a 
mandatory part of the exchange and must be in the log (e.g. 59001/WV).
