Hello everyone
A reminder that the 69th Oceania DX contest is happening on the first two
weekends of October as
follows:
PHONE Section: 0800 UTC Saturday 1 October to 0800 UTC Sunday 2 October 2005
CW Section: 0800 UTC Saturday 8 October to 0800 UTC Sunday 9 October 2005
You can expect to hear some of the rarer prefixes in the Pacific region as well
as plenty of VK and
ZL stations, including K7C on Kure Island. The list of notified operations is
available at
http://www.oceaniadxcontest.com . Please email zl3ga at nzart.org.nz if you
wish to add an operation to
the list.
The objective is for Oceania transmitting stations to contact as many stations
as possible both
inside and outside the Oceania region. Non-Oceania transmitting stations are to
contact as many
stations as possible inside the Oceania region.
The exchange is RST plus serial number. If the station worked does not send a
serial number, then
you can log the received number as 001 [2005 rule change]. Each QSO counts 20
points on 160m, 10
points on 80m, 5 points on 40m, 1 point on 20m, 2 points on 15m and 3 points on
10m. Final score is
the total QSO points multiplied by the total number of prefixes worked (each
prefix counted once per
band). Send CW cabrillo logs to cw at oceaniadxcontest.com and Phone cabrillo
logs to
ph at oceaniadxcontest.com . Paper logs are to be addressed to PO Box 6464,
Wellington 6030, New
Zealand. The closing date for the submission of logs is 6 November 2005.
The complete set of 2005 rules is available at http://www.oceaniadxcontest.com .
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible in the contest. Please
spread the word and lets
hope for some good conditions to make it the best ever Oceania DX contest.
