Working WH0V on Saipan was a first ever for me. Propagation forecast was
negative; using SSB and QRP with wire stealth antenna made the QSO extra
special.

Talked to the W7-EasterBunny twice on Easter Sunday! Enjoyed talking
with KH7X (Hawaii) on 40, 20 and 15 meters.

Worked a few European stns but could not copy my serial number correctly
to claim a Q. No Asian stns heard. Also heard and called VK2 and ZL but
they did not recognize me. S&P only.

I hibernated during the EU opening Saturday morning after being very
busy playing Polar Bear (as well as chasing QRP polar bears
unsuccessfully) Friday afternoon and night during the Polar Bear
Moonlight Madness Event. ;)

The following stns proved to have "EXCELLENT EARS" for working this
Polar Bear (#12) who was using an experimental antenna and QRP on 20ssb
during the heat of battle (first two hours of the contest):

   1. HR2JGG, Honduras
   2. PY2NA, Brazil
   3. PY2NY, Brazil
   4. NN7ZZ, USA (Utah)
   5. VE5MX, Canada (SK)
   6. NQ4I, USA (Georgia)
   7. D4B, Africa (Cape Verde)
   8. NA7XX, USA (Montana)

Yaesu FT-897/D transceiver operated at 5 watts into an OCF 28-gauge
insulated wire stealth antenna up 45 feet in trees next to I-75 in
downtown Atlanta industrial area. (The first eight Q's on 20ssb were
made with an experimental 44-ft Inverted-L up 12 ft in trees with an
elevated 40-ft single folded counterpoise 4 ft AGL; SGC SG-211
MiniSmartuner, balance-mode.) SGC SG-237 Smartuner. microHAM USB rig
interface. WriteLog 10.53e.
