4. Croatian CW Contest
No reported scores. However, a lot of the stations that I exchanged my
RAC numbers with were actually in the Croatian CW Contest. Also, after
the RAC contest was over at 2400Z Saturday night, I made about 20 more
QSOs with stations in the 9A contest before that contest ended at 14Z
Sunday morning. So, I sent them a checklog to help in case anyone
claimed a contact with me that needed to be checked. I found 80 meters
to be very good Saturday evening between 2345 and 0015Z. I worked RD3A,
T94NO, 9A7T, and a YU station, at least, with very good signals. Band
was quiet. I then changed over to 160 for the TBDC, but didn't hear a
lot of DX in that contest. Worked KV4FZ early, later on CO8LY who
wasn't in the contest, but did give me his Grid Square when I asked, and
PJ2/WB9Z called me, after I had heard him calling only for Europe for a
long time. Heard no Europe, but did receive in the mail Tuesday a QSL
from SV3RF for a 160 meter QSO on December 3, for an all-time new one on
160. Couldn't believe it about Russia, but RD3A and T94NO were also all
time new ones for me on 80M. I have Russia confirmed on 160, but
apparently had never worked one on 80 except perhaps in a contest that I
never got around to making a record of in my DXCC band/mode records.

Hope everyone has a good week. XF3T was on 14040 this morning QSX up 2
from a Mexican IOTA island and they will be there through the 27th.
Seldom signing their call. Mine was the only call I heard them get
right in the whole time I was listening. When they were corrected as to
calls, they would just say OK and not send the corrected call. Well, I
take it back, they got EA3GEG's call right on about his third QSO. The
other times, they sent it only as EA3GEZ.

73,

John, K4BAI.
