Just a quick reminder that the annual running of the Canada Winter 
Contest goes this weekend, December 18, 2004 from 00:00 to 23:59 UTC 
(Friday night and Saturday in North America).  All are invited to join 
us for the annual contest.  There are seven categories of entry (Single 
Op All Band High Power, Single Op All Band Low Power (100W or less), 
Single Op -QRP (5 Watts or less), Single-Op Single Band (no power 
categories), Multi-Single Low Power, Multi-Single High Power and 
Multi-Multi.  There are plenty of certificates available for each 
category of entry - each Canadian Province or Territory, Each US call 
area and each DX country, so please join us your chances of winning a 
certificate good.  Complete rules are available at: 
http://www.rac.ca/service/infocont.htm.  Free DOS based logging software 
which provides CW keying and compiles your cabrillo based entry is 
available at: http://www.qrp-canada.com/Contesting%20Page.htm  Many 
popular logging programs also now support the contest.  Logs go to 
canadawinter at rac.ca.  If you have any questions regarding the

QRP-Canada is also sponsoring the "Run with RAC" contest which runs at 
the same time as the Canada Winter Contest ... so QRP folks can enter 
both contest at the same time.  QRP Canada will also provide 
certificates for those in the  1 Watt and 5 Watt SSB and CW band 
specific categories.  Rules for QRP-Canada's "Run with RAC are available
