1. Best DX:
270806z VK6LW, Perth Australia, 20m, 11310 mi (2262 mi/watt)
VK6LW was busy working JA's when I worked him.
I also worked VK6LW in this Oct-2004's CQWW DX Phone contest for my
Best All-Time SSB DX (QRP or QRO) record.
Therefore, VK6LW is credited for my Best All-Time CW *and* SSB DX
(QRP or QRO) records. Thank You!
2. JA DX:
Could you believe that JA5BJC and JH4UYB were my only JA Q's this
year (just like last year's CQWW DX CW)? <vbg>
271258z JA5BJC, Japan, 40m, 6828 mi (1365.6 mi/watt)
271303z JH4UYB, Japan, 40m, 6828 mi (1365.6 mi/watt)
BTW, I heard JA's late Sunday afternoon for the FIRST TIME after
moving to the Southeastern U.S. in 1987. The JA's were not hearing me
though. ;(
3. Best 80m DX:
281132z N5LZ/7, Mendon UT, 80m, ~1600 mi (320 mi/watt)
Yaesu FT-897 transceiver operated at 5 watts into an OCF 28-gauge
insulated wire stealth antenna up 40 feet in trees next to I-75 in
downtown Atlanta industrial area. SGC SG-237 Smartuner. WriteLog 10.48f.
(All distances per WriteLog database except for Mendon UT.)
