Comments:

Didn't get started until 1:00 a.m. local time on Sunday morning. Spent all day
Friday and Saturday building a new 2 el homebrew tribander for 20-10, setting up
the station for SO2R and integrating new hardware. Only got 3 hours sleep the
night before, so when everything was hooked up and ready to go by 10:00 p.m., i
promptly dozed off in the operating position, until my cat woke me up sometime
after midnight. Didn't leave the chair again until sometime Sunday afternoon.
Was only AK and NWT away from a sweep by 9:00 a.m local Sunday morning, but the
geo storm trashed those hopes by early afternoon.

By 7:30 p.m. local Sunday, the sleep whammies were hitting me with all sorts of
hallucinations.
At one point I swear that the lights on the amplifier were making a face at me.

With the station working well (with the exception of RFI freezing the keyboard
on 15m), I
had the rare opportunity to experience a kind of 'zone' that comes with sleep
deprivation.
The next morning, I was noticing that I had worked a few folks who I knew --
but didn't remember
it. Interestingly enough, the QSO's were grouped from 2-6 am local time.
Noticed it happened
again later in the day on Sunday. After 15 cans of Red Bull over a 10-12
hours, anyone can fight off sleep.
