Team: SECC Team 3 - nice work guys!

Tnx to all for the Q's and their patience while I peck typed! Tnx SECC gang -
WW4LL - 3QSOs; WA4TII - 2QSOs, the hard way, 10 & 160!; W4BD - 2Qs, 80 & 160,
with my thanks since as I was tuning up on 3780 following Bob's requested QSY
from 160 to 80 G0EVY called!; KT4ZB - with my apology for the difficulty I had
in copying his call!; WT8Y; AA4LR & K4VU aka V31RG!

Prop was most unusual. 10 and 15 were mostly dead stateside, yet VK/ZL was
fair on 15 Sat afternoon and we had some single hop skip 2330 -0000. On 10,
I finally got some sporadic e to New England @ 0000 -0030 and some shorter
sporadic e due east @ 0130-0200 !

FT 1000D; AL 572 OFF Line; AL 1200 not in use in AL
Antenna (used for 160 -10 meters) : Rhombic, fed w/ 600 ohm line w/ several
tuners. It is 4 legs; each leg 135 feet in length, firing bi-directionally
(i.e. - unterminated), up 60 to 65 feet, tree supported.
My winter low band antennas are all packed up for our re- location to
Delaware which starts in November. The winter antenna for 80 & 160 used was
phased inverted L's, each 160 feet in length, with approximately 60 to 65 feet
vertical and 100 feet horizontal (55 to 65 feet up). Each element had 19, 133
foot radials. Phasing was accomplished with a 375 foot (approx) stub of 450
ohm line for 160/80 meters. The attempt was to have the phased L's fire bi
directionally on 160 ( 3/4 wave phase on 160 is near 375 feet) and the in a
cardiod pattern ( 1 1/2 wave cardiod phase is near 378 feet ) on 80. The
antenna system is fed at one of the two ends. Don,,,,ka1dwx
