All,
Due to DirecTV DSL going out of business, those that connect to the KS4Q =
Cluster via Telnet=20
will need to update the IP address they use to connect to the cluster.
Some time ago, I had assembled an email list of all users of the cluster =
but it was lost when I had an email crash here.
If you use want to be on the email notification list, please send an =
email to me at ks4q@arrl.net
I expect to make the change over before January 6th. I do not yet have =
my new IP address.
My new DSL provider will be provisioning an RFC 1483 Bridged connection =
which does not require a
logon like the more common PPPoE or PPPoA deployments used by BellSouth =
or Mindspring/Earthlink. I expect=20
the new DSL provider to provide as good or better uptime than what we've =
had the past two months or so.
As of this date, the cluster PC itself has 53 days of continuous uptime.
This change will not affect those that connect up via RF ONLY. =
Nevertheless, I would like to rebuild my
update list and would appreciate your help.
