Heard lots of SECC op's on Topband this weekend. I S&Ped for a few Q's and
enjoyed searching for the mult's. Used a 300 ft unterminated wire, lying on
the ground, pointing south for Rx. Only thing that would drop the line noise
below S9. Threw the xmit wire over a tree limb ("brick bat" still
attached), and used the 40 x 30 barn roof for the gnd system. May remove the
brick and run a piece of old garden hose over the part that crosses the
limb, so I can run HP in the Stew. :>)
Hand logged and only duped N3UM. Those old Field Day duties down at W4BOL's
in the 60's sure paid off. (I was too young for the 807's, they figured I'd
make the least mistakes, so got stuck with the dupe sheets !)
Had fun and its good to hear everyone else doing the same.
