Hi all:
The URL for the Michigan QRP Club Labor Day Sprint is
http://www.qsl.net/miqrpclub/rules01.htm. Note that you can request a
MI-QRP.CRT file for your NA logging program from N8CQA (Buck) at
n8cqa@att.net. I have been using NA for the MI-QRP Contests for several
years and it works nicely. Let's make sure there are a lot of SECC QSOs
to be made on the evening of Labor Day. Get out your QRP rig or crank
your 100 watter down to 5 watts. 23Z Sept 2 Labor Day to 03Z Sept 3. 4
hours of fun if enough folks get on to make it fun. The end date on the
website says Sept 2, but that is an obvious error and it it Sept 3
Tuesday UCT.
Conditions are improving on the high bands. Last weekend, there was a 6
hour QRP Summer Sprint sponsored by the Colorado QRP club and QSOs were
possible on 10, 15 and 20 meters. I worked AL7FH on 20 and HP1AC on 15
and 20 with my 5 watts output from the FT1000MP and they were no doubt
running 5 watts also.
Activity is concentrated around the "usual" QRP frequencies, 3560, 7040,
14060, 21060, 28060. This one is all CW, but last weekend's Colo
sponsored test was CW and SSB.
73,
John, K4BAI.
