My first contest log is also ARRL Novice Roundup, this one from 1955.
By SS in 1955, I was ready. However, I started out on AM Phone. In
those days, both modes were run at the same time over two weekends. By
the end of the first weekend, I was burned out on AM Phone and switched
to CW. I stayed on CW for the rest of the years that the modes were on
the same weekends, but, after I ran out of my maximum time on CW, I
would give the phone boys a few QSOs.
