I finally took down the remains of the 2-el 40 that didn't survive the first
night of the ARRL DX contest. Post-mortem analysis found a flaw in my
design that let water get into one of the loading coils. A modified design
has been completed and I only need to reassemble and re-tune the beam.
Need to decide what to put up for 80 and 160 (transmitting) that will be
at least semi-permanent -- time to start clearing part of my 4 acres of
woods.
